Halal Meals That Go Where You Go

Finding a halal meal at a trailhead, a campground, or a highway rest stop means taking a gamble. J&M® takes the guesswork out of eating on the road with halal certified, shelf stable meals you can pack before you leave. Bring along J&M Dhabiha Halal certified meals plus some of our My Own Meal® (MOM®) dual certified kosher and halal vegetarian meals so a mixed group of travelers can share one food bag.

With 10 fully cooked varieties, you can plan a week of camping or a long road trip without eating the same thing twice. There are no artificial flavors or colors in any of our meals, and some include dietary tags like High-Protein, Good Source of Fiber, Gluten-Free ingredients, Dairy-Free, and No Added Sugar (varies by product), which makes it easy to pick meals for everyone in the group. None have soy or nuts.

No Cooler, No Cooking, No Problem

Our modern stand-up pouches do not need refrigeration or freezing to stay fresh, so they ride in a backpack, glove box, or RV cabinet without ice or a cooler. Each meal is fully cooked and ready to eat as-is straight from the pouch. And they are not freeze-dried or dehydrated, so you’re not carrying extra water or waiting for a meal to rehydrate.

When you have a heat source, the meals taste even better warmed. Drop the pouch in hot water over a camp stove for 3-4 minutes, or use an RV or hotel microwave for about 60 seconds. Either way, dinner is on the table with almost no cleanup.

Packing and Storing on the Road

J&M® and MOM® meals are shelf stable and belong at ambient, dry-storage temperature. Keep them out of the freezer and refrigerator, and don’t let them sit above 80°F (26°C), so avoid leaving them in a hot, closed vehicle for long stretches in summer. Handled that way, they’ll be ready whenever the next stop rolls around.
